My name is Lionel Owner of Joyful Sound Entertainment.  I've been a DJ for over a decade now, and weddings have always been my favorite events to DJ. There's just something magical about being a part of such an important day in a couple's life.

I actually got started as a DJ when I was in the Military. I had a passion for music and I loved throwing parties for my friends. Eventually, someone suggested that I try DJing and it just clicked. From there, I started doing gigs at bars and clubs around town and Military base.

But it wasn't until I DJ'd my first wedding for my cousin that I realized how special this type of event could be. It's not just about playing music, it's about setting the right atmosphere and making sure everything runs smoothly. And of course, it's about making sure the couple and their guests have the time of their lives.  For one thing, weddings are all about personalization. Every couple is unique, and as a wedding DJ, it's my job to make sure their personalities and tastes are reflected in the music and the overall vibe of the reception. I spend a lot of time getting to know the couple and their preferences so I can create a playlist that feels like it was made just for them.
